Resort information:
Situated on both slopes of Chopok peak, Jasna is Central Europe’s No.1 ski resort. With over 24 lifts, including 6 chair lifts & cable car, Jasna has a vertical drop of over 1000 metres, with its’ summit at 2024m.
The resort has 42km of piste including a 6km home-run, but really comes into its own for its backcountry particularly the back bowl, Burton board park with 12 rails and divided into beginner and advanced sections, artificial snow cannons, lots of off-piste, night riding (1.5 km of night skiing from 6pm to 9pm on two runs), and trees everywhere…..!
The last 5 years have seen huge levels of investment in the resort’s infrastructure. A new lift connects the North and South Faces making Jasna the perfect destination for exploring ‘new Europe’ and escaping Alpine over-pricing, especially in the current economic climate. A full 6-day adult lift pass at Jasna costs just €139!

Area information:
A desire to preserve the natural beauty of Chopok Peak mean that there is no real ‘resort’ at Jasna itself. The proximity and quality of the town of Liptovsky Mikulas mean most visitors to Jasna are based here.
The transfer to the lifts at Jasna, on your private shuttle bus, each morning takes just15 minutes.
Chalet Location:
The Lodge itself is situated is a quiet residential street close to the town centre. Going out on the town is wholesome and relaxing….and with prices that are nothing those you have to pay in the Western Alps.
This is the reason we don’t include dinner at this lodge – there are so many excellent and cheap restaurants in walking distance that it makes more for guests to pay the lowest possible price for their stay and try these out to help get a true flavour of Slovakia: Main courses are appx £4 and drinks around £1.
“..the food was nothing less than exquisite everywhere we went” Chris Moran, The Observer
